Just how many times do I see this question “How does everyone clean their resin pots”? – this question comes up time and time again, so I thought I should address it right here and now.
It really is quite easy, in my video I am cleaning up after UV resin but the process is much the same for epoxy resin – except of course you would NOT put epoxy resin pots under a UV light, only UV resin pots will go under UV light. For epoxy resin you will just leave to cure and once cured use the same process as with UV resin.
So watch my video now …
I hope you can see from my video that it really is not difficult at all to clean your resin pots or molds.
You simply need an ample apply of wet wipes/baby wipes the cheapest you can find-you will use a lot of these, I always like having one already out of the packet ready to use when I am working with resin, saves sticky fingers going every where once you start working ( I have learnt this from ‘messy’ experience ) Another thing I use as you saw in the video is Alcohol Rub in a spray bottle this is really good at removing sticky residue of resin, from your pots, molds, tools and work space. This is Alcohol Rub that I personally use.
I see on social media comments that people are soaking pots and molds in warm soapy water etc .. well I would rather spend my time crafting – I often clean my pots, molds and tools tool whilst I am waiting for pieces to come out from under the UV light – there is always something that needs cleaning or putting away.
Well I do hope you found this video helpful and you now have bright shiny clean pots, thank you for following my blogs – I am trying to address all areas I see people struggling with – happy crafting everyone
