What You’ll Need

For this project I used a UV resin starter kit that includes the resin, lamp and basic tools – perfect if you’re just starting out, and don’t want to guess what to buy.

You can see the exact UV resin starter kit I use in this beginner project here

I like this kit because everything comes in one box, which makes it much less overwhelming for beginners. All you need to provide is a safe, well ventilated workspace. I’ve shared more about resin safety in this post here.

The UV torch you see me use in this video is not included in the starter kit but you will find the link for this on my ‘Tools and Materials’ page.

Beginner Tips

  • Work in thin layers rather than pouring too much at once.
  • Take your time removing bubbles before curing.
  • Make sure each layer is fully cured under the lamp before adding more.
  • Always wear gloves and work safely when using resin.

Starting with something small like earrings is a great way to learn how the resin behaves without feeling overwhelmed. It’s such a satisfying little project – and once you’ve made your first pair, you’ll already feel more confident.
