Lets Watch the Video now ..
Well I hope you enjoyed the video – did you spot the silly typo error? my apologies I should have checked but I was in a hurry to get this posted.
Tools
As you saw in the video I used my UV Torch a lot, I find it so useful when you need to keep something in place before moving to under the UV lamp – it kind of just sets everything, I do still cure with my UV Lamp as well this is important for curing correctly, my Lamp is double sided so cures both sides at once, all the tools and materials I personally use can be found on my tools page here.
My Tips
- Keep ALL your scraps, even if they are just clear resin – just have a pot handy that you can throw them into when you are cleaning out your mixing pots or molds. Important: ensure the scraps are cured first or you will just have a pot of sticky mess – you don’t want that!
- Add your bits of scrap randomly I find this gives best results.
- Try not to over load with scraps – this is trial and error you will learn as you go
- Using deeper molds will give more interesting results.
- Doing this saves you buying expensive bits and pieces – So save them – Don’t Bin Them
Safety First
I really must remind you to always stop and think safety first when crafting with resin. Even if you are using an odourless resin – it will still be giving off harmful toxins as do all resins. Gloves ( Nitrile Gloves) are a absolute must, when working with resin, and also a face mask – respirator, this is the respirator mask that I use while crafting with resin. I also have an Air Purifier on my work bench the link for this is on my tools page.
