Well I often had thought about it – and I finally did it, I have written a little book titled UV Resin For Beginners and it is exactly that. I have written it as a friendly beginners guide to take you through the basics step-by-step from choosing your resin, and tools you may need, to curing and fixing common problems.
I know, from experience how it feels, when you are just starting out with UV resin crafting – it can be a scary place!
What actually is resin? is there different types? I heard its not safe to use? What can you do with resin?
There is just so much to take in, and learn, so many things you need or think you need! It can be overwhelming. (I offer you some advice💖 at the end of this post)

After the very basics at the beginning of the book, I have later gone on to add a few projects, where you can learn new creative techniques, and gain confidence – as you create UV resin pieces – your own earrings, a keyring maybe ,and much more. All with easy step by step guidance with photographs, that I have taken myself, in my own little work space whilst crafting, just like this photo below:-
I have also covered, many of the common problems that we all encounter at some point, when crafting with UV resin, as well as different creative techniques, that you will hopefully find useful when creating from your own ideas, after having gained confidence and inspiration from this little book of mine.
Writing the book UV Resin For Beginners
Did I find it easy? No way, and there was many a time I almost gave up, but I didn’t. I had a few breaks in between, sometimes it was weeks that turned into months – but I knew in my heart and soul, that I would eventually continue and get this book published! And I did, its done – I have a copy of it sitting on the coffee table beside me as I write this post.
I have to admit it is quite a feeling, and I am not sure how to describe that feeling – after months of work, finding the right words, ploughing through hundreds of photographs, taking more photographs then matching them up with the correct stages of a project – and then going through the final checks and publishing details. I do remember my first feeling and thoughts, as the final button was clicked from the lap top and it was phew! its done, relief … never doing it again. But now I find myself in quiet moments, thinking what shall I write about next? 🤣😁So never say never – you never know!
I see so many posts on social media, UV resin groups, where people are asking for help with various situations, that they have found themselves in while creating – that I feel there is maybe room for a sequel to UV Resin for Beginners, just not sure at the moment exactly what! –
